My name is Dan Benigno, and I'm the Chef Around the Block.

I can help you with all of your Culinary Endeavors!

We offer personal chef, catering, and cooking class services to people and businesses in Council Bluffs and Omaha. We also host food pop-ups every Tuesday and Wednesday nights at The Block Culinarium, with a different menu each night.

Cooking isn't hard, but it can be time-consuming. Let us make it easier with the wide variety of food programming we offer.

Cooking Classes to Gift or Book!

Click the "Cooking Classes Booked Here!" below, select the number of participants, click "Book Now", and select a date from the calendar.

You can input your gift card number under payment method at checkout after selecting a country you'd like to learn about and listing any allergens or restrictions you have.

Private Jet Catering

Headed out of Omaha?

Contact the FBO or email Dan@chefaroundtheblock.com to place your catering order.

No need for a menu - tell us what you'd like to eat! We can fulfill a custom menu as specific as you'd like, and we'll do our best to accommodate it based on availability.

There is a minimum order value of $100. Orders less than $100 will be charged the difference unless more food is added.

Deliveries are typically made and delivered the night before, which is helpful in case of last-minute changes to departure times.

Hoff Family Arts & Culture Center

If you're looking for a place to hold your special event, the Hoff Family Arts & Culture Center with Chef Around the Block is your place. Just a quick drive across the river in Downtown Council Bluffs, we're close enough for everyone!

Chef Around the Block can cater any size for your every need, cook anything your guests crave, and walk you through your culinary journey. The Hoff Center features multiple rental spaces that are spacious and flexible offering audio and visual capabilities and can host an event venue up to 500 guests.

I took a Mediterranean class that focused on knife skills, building flavors, and it was so much fun! Dan was able to break the directions in a lighhearted and fun way. I've taken other cooking classes in Omaha and this was the first one where I could take actual skills and apply them to my cooking and meal prep during the week. I'll be back to take another class. Highly recommend!
